Day One in Rome

Business, Fashion, Travel

Ciao a tutti! Yesterday I arrived in Rome after an eight hour flight. After a quick (well, three hour) nap I headed down the Spanish Steps to take in my shopping opportunities. Right at my finger tips were Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Longchamp, Dolce & Gabanna, and many other designers. Dinner was at the hotel, but dessert was out on the town for some authentic gelato of course!

One of the interesting things about the Spanish Steps was that, at night, they turned into a virtual market. There were replica designer bags laid out, men selling lasers and yes, selfie sticks, lots of people trying to hand you roses and then charge for them, and even people giving horse and carriage rides. I found this particularly interesting that a place as popular and historic as the Spanish Steps would allow for such a thing. In addition, it was amazing to see how a place could make such a transformation. I must say, however, that those steps are quite the workout!
