Yes! That is exactly what I said! I thought I’d share some of my go-to websites when I’m scouring the web for designer goods, especially when I don’t want to pay full price! So here are some of my favorites…
Rue La La
This website is great, everyday they open up new sales for women, men, kids, home, and travel. I have seen everything from Chanel purses and vintage Rolex watches to suite packages for concerts and vouchers for private jets. Everything is normally discounted from retail prices and things sell out extremely quickly. There is a unique feature where you can, however, set a reminder for upcoming sales so you don’t miss out.
You also just pay on price for shipping that is good for 30 days, which is a plus. This website has something for everyone and always has new and useful items. Start shopping!
This is an absolutely amazing site! I have never not been able to find what I was looking for.The key is that it really is a global marketplace. People from all over the world sell their items here, so you get to see very unique pieces. Pieces are pre-owned and their condition is indicated in the items description. They offer items for women, men, kids, and the home. You can also set an alert for what you are looking for and every time an item related to what you want is listed, you receive an alert. Selling on Vestiaire is also unique. You can list your item, and once it is sold you send it to the company for authentication and they ship it to the buyer.
Vestiaire is a can’t miss website if you are looking for that special piece, because, most likely they’ll have it. Start shopping!
The Real Real
This luxury consignment website is where you can buy high-end designer goods and trust their authentication, too. This seems to be the place where those with expensive designer goods go to sell them when they’re looking to spruce up their closet. In addition to accessories, The Real Real offers a robust selection of clothing. Each day, they have new themed sales showcasing pre-owned and occasionally NWT items.
Selling is also made easy. When you purchase an item, you can request a free consignment kit to make selling your item a breeze. You can also get started on their website and then send your item to them for free or they can pick it up (restrictions apply for this option). They list it, sell it, and ship it, and you can see up to 70% of its sale price.
So the next time you’re looking for an Hermes cuff or a fine piece of art or jewelry, The Real Real is the place to go. Start shopping!
Net – A – Porter
Though Net – A – Porter does not always offer designer items at a discount (although you can get a steal when items go on clearance), they have an extensive selection of women’s goods with everything from evening gowns to designer athletic wear. Items are new and often from ready-to-wear collections right off the runway. They are a great link between the average consumer and the designer goods market. Their weekly magazine The Edit also features unique places and people and is always a fun quick read.
For men there is also their “brother” site if you will, “Mr. Porter” which offers a similar platform.
These are two great sites and offer everything designer. You won’t find designers like Chanel and Louis Vuitton, but you will find the most recent collections of contemporary designers including Christian Louboutin, Fendi, Chloé, Hervé Léger, and so many more. Start shopping!
