I’ve decided that one of my most favorite places in Italy is Venice. It really is a city on water: no cars, no buses, just boats and carts. Literally, everything from public transportation (water taxis and vaporettos) to ambulances and fire “boats” to all things commerce is centered around water. The concept itself was hard to grasp coming from a place where cars are a part of everyday life.

The Good Eats of Roma
Business, Food, TravelWhile traveling in Rome, I had the pleasure of sampling some Roman cuisine. While some of the restaurants could be considered tourist traps or simply just what was convenient, it seemed hard to find a bad meal.
Day One in Rome
Business, Fashion, TravelCiao a tutti! Yesterday I arrived in Rome after an eight hour flight. After a quick (well, three hour) nap I headed down the Spanish Steps to take in my shopping opportunities. Right at my finger tips were Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Longchamp, Dolce & Gabanna, and many other designers. Dinner was at the hotel, but dessert was out on the town for some authentic gelato of course!
Summertime Granitas
FoodTis the season for summertime treats! But ice cream can often be too heavy and eating dessert out can be expensive. So I’ve tweaked some granita recipes to perfection (at least in my opinion) for when temperatures soar! While some of the combinations may seem a bit peculiar at first, trust me, they blend together quite well. A granita is comparable to a water ice and it originated in Sicily, Italy. It is the perfect summertime treat to cool you off.
